Polymer Dispersed Liquid Crystal (PDLC) – polymer dispersed liquid-crystal film or – PDLC, is a technological innovation that allows to provide controllable fogging and/or roughness effect and video image projection when applied to glass and/or window. The tape has two modes – foggy and tough, the latter is achieved by supplying a small electronic charge to the polymer film, which is controlled by a remote control.
The polymer liquid-crystal film is widely used in offices, residential houses and apartments, in the bathroom, as well as in car glass fogging. It is also widely used in the advertising field, because the polymer liquid-crystal film glued to the glass has the property of catching/reflecting light shadows, which allows the image to be projected on the film. Often, the tape pasted on the stained glass windows of commercial objects will reflect the image directed to the projector and the stained glass will transmit the video image like a liquid crystal TV; However, unlike television, the tape sizes can be easily adapted and images of almost any size and resolution can be obtained. It is possible to transform the entire stained glass window or window into an advertising billboard, which certainly attracts the attention of the user and makes the object much more attractive.
